The most interesting creative careers rarely move in a straight line.
Finding Your Direction, presented at the Norton Museum of Art in collaboration with AIA Palm Beach, explored the unexpected choices, places, opportunities, and relationships that shape a creative life.

The presentation brought together the stories and perspectives of Joe Nafis, Yevhen Surzhan, Roberto Martignone, Andrea Nice, and Siu Tang—creative people whose paths have crossed architecture, design, art, technology, and storytelling in very different ways.
What emerged was a recurring idea: direction is not always something we discover in advance. Often, it becomes visible only in retrospect. A move to another country, an unexpected opportunity, a difficult transition, or simply following curiosity can ultimately become part of the work itself.

For me, the evening also reinforced the importance of exchanging ideas beyond the boundaries of our own disciplines and practices. Architecture does not develop in isolation. It grows through conversation and through exposure to different cultures, experiences, people, and ways of seeing.
Finding your direction isn't necessarily about knowing exactly where you're going. Sometimes it begins simply by moving forward with intention.
