Dempsey Design is a West Palm Beach architecture and interior design studio shaped by international experience and a deep connection to South Florida. We approach each project with curiosity, careful listening, and attention to place—bringing a broad perspective while respecting what makes each project distinct.

Who we are

Dempsey Design is an architecture and interior design studio based in West Palm Beach. Our work spans civic, hospitality, workplace, retail, and residential design, informed by experience across South Florida and the Asia Pacific region.

What we do

We work across architecture and interiors, from early concepts through construction. Keeping design leadership closely involved throughout the process helps protect the original idea while responding thoughtfully to budget, schedule, and the realities of building.

Eric J. Dempsey
Architect & Designer
Eric J. Dempsey is an architect and designer whose work has been shaped by more than two decades of professional experience, including extensive international practice across China and the Asia Pacific region. He studied architecture at the University of Arkansas with Marlon Blackwell and Tim DeNoble, and completed an internship with Peter Eisenman.
His experience spans architecture, interiors, and design-build projects across civic, hospitality, workplace, retail, and residential sectors. Across these disciplines, his work is characterized by an inside-out approach to design, careful attention to detail, and ideas grounded in the particular opportunities of each project.
Based in West Palm Beach, Eric brings an international perspective to a practice rooted in South Florida. His curiosity about culture, technology, craft, and the built environment continues to inform an approach that is both exploratory and pragmatic.

Vivienne Zhou
Co-Founder & Interior Design Lead
Vivienne Zhou brings more than a decade of experience in retail design, construction, and project delivery across China and the Asia Pacific region.
Her background includes high-end retail environments developed in direct collaboration with international luxury brands, design teams, manufacturers, and specialty fabricators. Her expertise spans material and product sourcing, custom fixture fabrication, consultant coordination, and project delivery from concept through installation.

At Dempsey Design, Vivienne brings this international experience to the studio's interior design and project delivery, combining a keen eye for detail with a practical understanding of how ideas are made.
