Urban Roast

Urban Roast is a hospitality renovation located in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach. The project repositions a historic ground-floor retail space as an active café and dining venue, anchored by a commercial kitchen and expanded seating that connects interior space to a private courtyard garden. The design required careful coordination with city zoning, landlord approvals, and mechanical infrastructure. Introducing a full kitchen into an existing building meant routing exhaust and rooftop equipment through a constrained structure while preserving the character of the original façade. The result is a layered urban experience — street presence at the sidewalk, energy at the bar, and intimacy in the courtyard — demonstrating how thoughtful design can unlock new life in existing buildings.
